Maumee Bay Bed and Breakfast
Our home is in a great location for birders, boaters, fishermen because we are within close proximity to the shores of Lake Erie and Maumee Bay State Park, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Metzger Marsh, Howard Marsh Metro Park and Pearson Metro Park. Jerusalem Township is on the outskirts of the City of Oregon, a suburb of Toledo. You’ll love our early 1914 farmhouse as an escape from the city and a chance to enjoy a slower pace of life. We are a 180 acre working farm. Our crops include soybeans, corn, pumpkins and a vegetable garden. You may meet some of our family members as they come and go throughout the day. We are located 8 miles east of Toledo in Jerusalem Township.
The Space
One bedroom and a detached full bath with shower are located on the main floor of the house while 3 additional bedrooms are on the second floor. The full bath upstairs offers a tub, but no shower. As this this our primary residence you may find us on the property. As guests are our priority and we respect your privacy family members will remain in secondary areas of the property during your stay.
Guest Access
Guests will enjoy private bedrooms. Bedroom selections include; Rose, Sunset and Sunrise.
Rose room includes a full bed and is located in the rear of the house upstairs, Sunrise room includes a full bed with a closet located in the front of the house upstairs. Sunset room includes a king bed and closet located in the front of the house upstairs. A first floor queen bedroom is available upon request. You are welcome to utilize the kitchen, dining room, living room, porch, patio area and backyard fire pit. As our guests, you are also welcome to explore our property and enjoy our farm experience.
Guest Interactions
We give our guests space but are available when needed.
This farm and our family both have deep roots in this rural community. We’d be happy to share about the history of the area and how our family tree has grown in this community for nearly 120 years. A host will be within close proximity when not on site. Contact information will be available upon arrival. Guests are encouraged to text arrival times or request any other additional information. The Porch side door is the guest entrance.
Other Things of Note
Locally sourced food items are available for purchase upon special request on a cash basis. Local honey, wine, meats, picnic items, seasonal fruits and vegetables are an example of items that can be ordered ahead of your stay and waiting for you upon arrival.
Neighborhood
Natural resources abound in this neck of the woods. Howard Marsh MetroPark our newest park offers walking trails as well as kayaking opportunities. We recommend walking the boardwalk at Maumee Bay State Park and stopping by the inland beach and nature center while you’re there. The visitor’s center at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is also a gem. If you’d like more thrills Cedar Point amusement park is a 45 minute drive to the east.
Getting Around
State Route 2 (also known as Jerusalem Road or Navarre Avenue) is a direct route into Toledo, an easy 15 minute drive west from our home. The Ohio Turnpike is also within a 15 minute drive.

^ The Sunrise Room
Welcome to the Sunrise Room! This room is full of warm colors, and the handmade quilt was made by a friend of the family. The bed is a full-size double sleigh bed. This room encompasses the true feeling of starting the day out right and is truly era-appropriate.
^ The Sunset Room
Welcome to the Sunset Room! The pastel peach walls will put you in the right mood for sleep when your day starts winding down. Complete with a king-sized bed and lots of closet space, you will feel right at home staying in this room. There is additional storage on the bed’s headboard, so that guests with an extended stay can bring all of their essentials.

Welcome to the Rose Room! As you can see, the carpet is what gives the room its name. This room includes a full-size bed, the bed has been in our family for 5 generations (the bed has a story tell)! It also includes a dresser with a mirror vanity, and the room has a great view of the property.
